Jehovah Rapha Centre(JRC) for Occupational Therapy has established in the year of 2011 to promote independency in the life of each and every client. Mr.P. Paulraj is the director and Mrs.J. VINO HELEN, M.O.T(Paeds) is the senior occupational therapist who has 18yrs of expirence in the field of occupational therapy. She is a registered occupational therapist in " ALL INDIA OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS' ASSOCIATION". Life Membership no is L-3652/08. We are providing occupational therapy, Early Intervention, Speech therapy, Special Education and other services under one roof.

Occupational therapy (OT) is a branch of health care that helps people of all ages who have physical, sensory, or cognitive problems. OT can help them regain independence in all areas of their lives. Occupational therapists help with barriers that affect a person's emotional, social, and physical needs. To do this, they use everyday activities, exercises, and other therapies. OT helps kids play, improves their school performance, and aids their daily activities. It also boosts their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment.
Sensory Integration is the form of occupational therapy. It is the process by which the child receive information through various activities.Sensory experiences include touch,movement,body awareness,sight,sound,smell,taste and the pull of gravity.The process of the brain organising and interpreting this information is called Sensory Integration.Some of the Sensory Integration activities are Neutral Warmth,Joint compression,Wilbarger brushing Protocol,Jumping in the trampoline,different types of walking(Frog Walking,Wheel barrow Walking,Crab Walking),activities in the swing etc.Through this we can improve eye contact,sitting tolerance,response to commands etc. This is the best intervention stratergy for behavioural mangement.

speech theraphy is an intervention service that focuses on improving a child's speech and abilities to understand and express languages,including non-verbal languages. Our mainconcern in improving Sensory-Oro motor area,Vegetative Skills like blowing,chewing,biting, Receptive and Expressive language.

Special education (also known as special-needs education, aided education, exceptional education, special ed. or SPED) is the practice of educating students in a way that addresses their individual differences and needs. Ideally, this process involves the individually planned and systematically monitored arrangement of teaching procedures, adapted equipment and materials, and accessible settings. These interventions are designed to help individuals with special needs achieve a higher level of personal self-sufficiency and success in school and in their community which may not be available if the student were only given access to a typical classroom education.
Our aim is to improve Cognitive-Perceptual,reading,listening and writing skills among children with exceptional needs such as learning disabilities (or) Intellectual disabilities like autism,Hyperactivity,Mental Retardation,Down Syndrome etc.

Physio Therapist helps the child to achieve the motor milestones by Stretching/Strengthening exercises,proper positioning with key point of control and by different approaches like NDT,PNF etc; We deal with children with physical disabilities like cerebral palsy,Erb's palsy.Down syndrome,Infantile Hemiplegia etc;

We are Specialized in improving Handfunction and Hand Writing skills. Hand strengthening activities are given to improve the muscle power. Sensory motor activities and techniques like CIT(Constraint Induced movement Therapy) are given to improve reach,grasp,release,in hand manipulation skills ,pinch and grip strength in children with Erbs palsy, Infantile hemiplegia etc.

Behavior modification is a therapeutic approach designed to change a particular undesirable negative behavior. By using a system of positive or negative consequences, an individual learns the correct set of responses for any given stimulus.
Behaviour Modification is very essential for children with special needs to shape their behaviour. Some of the behaviour modification techniques are positive reinforcement,negative reinforecement,flooding,modeling,Token economy etc;

The aim of the programme is to improve the schooling skills of children with special needs. Our focus in improving attention, concentration, sitting tolerance, toileting skills, listening, writing and reading skills. It might be conducted in individual or group to improve the schooling skills among children with special needs.

Social skills are the behaviours ,verbal and non-verbal that we use in order to communicate effectively with other children (or) people.Some examples of social skills are Eye contact with others during conversation,smiling when greeting people,shaking hands when greeting someone,perceiving how others are feeling and showing empathy.We conduct group therapy to improve social skills of children with special needs like autism,Hyperactivity,Down syndrome etc;
My son had learning problems. When he joined the Centre, he didn't know how to read and write at all. Now he is doing good. He has improved in concentration. He completes his school notes and finishes his homework by himself. He reads better. He has started eating fruits and so on.....Thanks to Helen mam for her dedication & efforts, love and care for my child.

His name is A. SAIFULLAH IQBAL.For him we are giving OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY In DR. VINO HELAN(MOT) Paediatrics(Senior occupational therapist). His problem is LEFT HAND ACTIVITY. Through left hand he can't able to take any objects and do active and passive movements also. But now he can able to do active and passive movements, Pronation and supenation activity, clapping hands, raising hands. And trying to take the objects with minimum support. This Therapy will continue till he fulfill the LEFT HAND USAGE.
I have been sending my son to JRC for the past two years. My son Joshua is 12 years and he has been developing overall in his activities like proper habits, good speech ,self care and he is able to write and he is progressing in reading after his classes in JRC. His confidence has been boosted, the teaching staff are the their second moms they take utmost care and teach with immense patience. Helen mam also guides me with a clear vision for joshua and thank you JRC for being with Joshua in nurturing him to develop into a normal child
